Lego Movie Inspired Birthday!

Hello, my Nephew Jack just turned 11 and we got him some new lego from the Lego Movie so I decided to make him a card and treat box to go along with the theme!

I couldn't find anything that really went with the movie, so I came up with this Bad Cop on my own! I used black and daffodil delight. I hand drew most of it, and my new white uni-ball pen worked beautifully (I'm still shocked...I had no luck with my last one, maybe it was a dud!) . The glass lenses were made with silver paper and the wing of the 2-step bird punch, I just rounded it out with scissors.
and this is the other side, with the scribbled on face, this side was easy! lol
This is the card I made, I loved this card by Joanne James, so I pretty much cased it! Jack seemed to really like the card and the treats!

Butterfly Basics Birthday Card & Treat!

Hello, this is the card and curvey keepsake box I made for my stepdaughter for her birthday. I loved this card by Jenn Brum, I pretty much copied it but changed the colours, I also added the vellum piece behind the butterfly that I coloured with copics.
I also made this lovely little Curcy Keepsake treat holder, which was also a case from Erica B Cerwin you can see here! I stamped the box with the Distressed Dots background stamp.
Not a great photo, but this is the two together!

FMS197, Baby Bumblebee!

Hello, I made this card for this weeks Freshly Made Sketch Challenge FMS197. I love how the Baby Bumble Bee turned out. I stamped on white cardstock with memento tuxedo black, then coloured with Y17 and Y15 copics. For the wings, I coloured around the black lines with a Quickie glue pen then added dazzling diamonds glitter.

ABC, Crafting Nut Large Die Holder!

Hello, it's Anything But A Card day on the Catch The Bug Blog, and it's my turn to share a fun project! This wasn't my idea, I found it on pinterest and you can see the original post and measurements here on Sam Donald's Blog!

For my project today, I used the Crafting Nut from Bugaboo Stamps. I coloured the image with copics, and cut and and layered with the oval/scallop nesties. The sentiment comes with this image as well!
I have a big container for my dies, but it doesn't fit the larger SU thinlet dies, so this project was perfect for storing my bigger dies.
Here's a close-up of the image and sentiment.

Now is the time to buy the Bugaboo Image's you've been waiting for, all Bugaboo Stamps are 50% off til the end of July!

The card base is white, with a piece of marina mist cut with the striped scallop thinlits die, which always reminds me of waves. The designer paper on the side is from Bo Bunny-barefoot & bliss. I popped the image up and used a YNS die to make the sun.

OBG, Sock Monkey Birthday Wish!

Hello, it's oldie but goodie day at Catch The Bug, and today I'm showing you a card I made for my Niece's Son for his 1st Birthday! I used Sock Monkey/January/Birthday from Bugaboo Stamps. I coloured him with copics and added some stickles to the confetti dots.

The card base is real red with a layer of white and a layer of designer paper from Bo Bunny Surprise. The stars were made with die-namics dies. The #1 is from a YNS die. The sentiment was made on my computer and cut out with a YNS word bubble die.
I chose the Sock Monkey and his colours to go along with the sweater I knit for Hayden, I hope he likes it! The pattern I used had a band for a collar, which I made longer, but maybe not long enough because it doesn't fold over very well!

Bugaboo New Release, Curly Hair Sitter!

Hello, it's New Release day at Bugaboo Stamps, and this beautiful Curly Hair Sitter is one of this weeks new images! I combined her with the FAB-rosebush bench, and although I say that casually, this really was a learning experience for me, but it was really easy. So if you haven't tried combining and overlapping images you really should give it a try. I used the Tutorial found at Bugaboo stamps, my word program was older so I had to search around a bit for the functions, but I did find them!

I also flipped the little girl to face the other opposite way to make it more balanced.

I coloured the image with copics and added pink copic atyou spica to the roses & butterfly, and tiny gems to the yellow flowers and butterfly.

The card base is lavendar lace with so saffron embossed with the butterfly embossing folder. The butterfly was made from glitter paper with a SU punch.

I used this weeks Sketch Saturday Challenge #368, and flipped it as well, for balance!

Make sure to check out more samples using this new image on the Catch The Bug Blog.

And now is the time to stock up on Bugaboo Stamps...maybe even get some elements/backgrounds and give combining images a try, because all stamps are 50% at Bugaboo Stamps now til the end of July!

Hello, it's the first Saturday of the month, so this weeks challenge at Catch The Bug is Anything Goes! For today's card I used Ladybug Line from Bugaboo Stamps. Who would want these laydbugs to fly away, they're so cute!

I coloured the image with copics and added a bit of stickles for some sparkle. The card base is real red with a piece of black dotty paper I found in my scrap paper and the green striped paper is from Cosmo Cricket.

The tag was made with a Martha Stewart punch, the sentiment is from SU Honeycomb Hello, and I finished it off with twine.

I also used this weeks Freshly Made Sketch FMS193

Oldie But Goodie, Bentley!

Hello, it's Oldie But Goodie day at Catch The Bug, and today I'm showing you one of my favorites...this is Bentley-On The Inside from Bugaboo Stamps. I used Bentley to make a baby card for my Nephew & his Girlfriend who is expecting a boy in July.

I've already been to a shower, but I made the baby a sweater so I will include this with the gift when he arrives. So I made the card smaller, it's actually 4.25" square. I coloured the image with copics.

The card base is marina mist, with a layer of white and then dsp in the same colour. I used a word bubble die for the sentiment, and finished it off with some twine!

I also used the sketch from Sketch Saturday #367.
