Happy Keester!

Happy Easter Everyone, I made this card for my Mom, and used the Stella Says Sketch Bonus Edition!

This is Gus - Happy Keester, LOL I love him!

I coloured Gus with copics, using colours to match the dp that's from a big Recollections pad. I also added crystal effects to his glasses and glitter to his tail and the flower center.

The card base is wild wasabi. The flower was made with a Marvy punch and the center of the flower is one of the purple circles on the dp!

Hope Everyone and a wonderful weekend!

This is Rainy Day Riley. I coloured him with copics and paper pieced the umbrella. I also added some crystal effects to the rain drops and puddle.

The card base is taken with teal, with a layer of white embossed with the cloudy day EF. The dp is from Echo Parks a walk in the park. The yellow umbrella was a paper scrap from recollections.

Please join us in our challenge and upload your creation to the Riley and Company Blog. If you upload to any forums, please use the keyword RILEY0613. And don't forget there is a randomly drawn prize for one lucky participant!

SSS132, You Are My Sunshine!

Hello, I made this for the Stella Says Sketch Challenge SSS132 over at Bugaboo's Catch The Bug Blog! This is also perfect for our Spring card drive at Kards For Kids!

This is a stamp from Totally Stampalicious, which is a Bugaboo image of Turtles-rain.

Totally Stampalicious is closing shop, so all there sets are on sale now at clearance prices!

Because of the design, I made the card base 4.75" wide x 5.5" tall. I coloured the image with copics, and added crystal effects to the rain.

The card base is marina mist, with a layer of dp from K&Co.'s daydreams. The strip down the middle is from Recollections.

Since we can't have real brads on cards going to the hospital, I made then with a hole punch, glued them down & then covered them in crystal effects. Super easy and you always have a matching brad!

Have a Great Day!

Crafty Fun!

Hello, well I'm really late posting this one, but wanted to share! For Olivia's 13th Birthday this year (January) she went bowling with friends, had a sleepover and then we made a couple easy crafts the next day!

Above is the Corner Bookmark they made using the owl punch, because the wise owl just seems appropriate for a bookmark! The plaid paper is from a big Recollections pad I got at Michaels.
And this is a super fast, easy and inexpensive wipe-off message board. I started with an acrylic photo frame from the $ store. Then cut the paper to fit, I also added the yellow strip to the paper. Slip that inside and then added the embossed butterfly to the outside with glue dots. The wipe-off marker is also from the $ store. The girls cut a piece of velcro and added it to the back or front ledge. With this frame design, you can actually use both side of the frame, you can draw  a tic-tac-toe board, or hangman etc. onto the paper on the back.
And here they are showing off their crafts, yep still in there pj's! lol

Hopefully this will inspire you, the girls loved them, and it's nice that they're usable items!

Have a Great Day!

More Kards For Kids!

Hello, I made these card for the Kards For Kids group I belong to, and also used a couple challenges!

I used Sunflower Riley for both cards.

The top card is a Sweet Sunday Sketch SSSC179. I coloured Sunflower Riley with copics, and stamped an extra flower head and popped it up.

The card base is chocolate chip with a layer of bashful blue on the top embossed with the new Cloudy Day EF. The bottom is dp from the DCWV summer stack pad that I've had for a few years but still use!  I also added some more mustard with the circle pinking nestie, and twine.

The flags were made with the spellbinders shapeabilities nested pennants dies.
I made this one using the Freshly Made Sketch FMS76. The papers are all the same. For the flower, I used some post-it notes to mask off Riley and just stamp the flower, 3 were cut out and popped up.
The inside was finished by using some of the dp, stamping Riley in memento rich cocoa along with the Smile sentiment, also from Riley and Company!

SC425, Oh, Whale!

Hello, this is a card I made for our current card drive at Kards For Kids. Actually there are 2 drives right now, Animals and Spring, so not sure which this suits better!

Anyway I used the SC425 for this one, and my new stamps & paper from Stampin Up.

This is the Oh, Whale! set, that I thought would be perfect for the kids. I stamped the whale in gumball  green, and I must say the new ink pads are perfect for this full image stamps, great coverage! I stamped him twice, and cut one out to pop up.

The card base is midnight muse, with all the dp from the Sunshine & sprinkles pack.

Have a Great Day!

Design Team Entry!

Hello, this post is my entry for the Design Team call at Sister Act Card Challenge. I picked these cards for different reasons. The top card shows I like to create fun scenes, I made the faux records from punches to create this 50`s diner theme featuring Riley as Danny and Sophie as Sandy from Grease!
I carried the theme into the inside!
I also like trying all different style card designs, this is a pop up card, which I thought looked good with this image and sentiment because it kind of looks like a trophy!
And although I love to add layers, texture and pop things up, I can also go the CAS route!

I would love to join the Design Team at Sisters Act Card Challenge, thanks for the opportunity.

For the Doctor Who Fan!

Hello, well it was my Brother's birthday this week, we're getting together tomorrow for his birthday dinner, and this is the card I made him!

He was a big Doctor Who fan when we were growing up, so when I say this 'Feeling Sentimental' set from Stampin Up that's the first thing I thought of!

It doesn't really show in the photo, but I stamped the image in versamark then pacific point then I covered with clear embossing powder and embossed...I did that twice. Then I cut one out, and popped it up.

The card base is black, with a layer of pacific point and then crumb cake, which is embossed with the chevron EF and I sponged the edges.

I used die-namics fishtale flags with 'Well Worn' dp from Stampin Up!

The #1 circle is from the new 'Ciao, Baby!' SU set. I stamped it with riding hood red and punched with the 7/8" scallop punch, 7/8" circle in blue and 1" circle in black.

I hope he likes it!

Have a Great Day!
