RILEY2412, Colour Challenge!

Hello, it's time for a Riley and Company Challenge! This weeks challenge is Hosted by Kelli, and she's challenging us to used the colour scheme Burgundy, Old Olive, and Cream. And as a bonus, create a card or project with the theme of gratitude and thanks!

Now I must confess, I read the challenge, obviously too quickly, and thought it was burgundy, any green and cream is you wanted and totally forgot the Thanks part! LOL

I used the newly released Carrying Tree clear set. I coloured Riley with copics and sponged the edges lightly with crumb cake (to make it look more cream!).

The card base is brave burgundy, with dp from K&Co. Christmas Cheer pad. The green is pear pizzazz, edges sponged with matching ink and always artichoke.

I did add some glitter, but I don't think it shows in the photo.
Here's the reverse side, the sentiment is included in the Carrying Tree set.

Please join us in our challenge, and upload your creation to the Riley and Company Blog, for your chance to win a Prize! If you upload to any forums, please make sure to use the keyword RILEY2412.

Have a Great Day!

TSMONDAY, Let It Snow!

Hello, this weeks Totally Stampalicious challenge is to add some snow! I decided to pull out my Snowmen set, I haven't used it in a while, and I need to make some snowman cards for the Kards For Kids Christmas drive so this will be perfect!

I stamped him on white along with the scarf and hat, then coloured them with copics.

The card base is real red, with white embossed with the snowflake EF. The frame in the center was made with the spellbinders Fleur De Lis Squares die.

The sentiment is from the Let it Snow Stella set.

Please play along in our challenge, and upload your card or creation to the Totally Stampalicious Blog. If you use a Totally Stampalicious image, the prize will be doubled!

I hope you can make it to our Totally Stampalicious Blog Hop and Release on Thursday November 29th, 9pm est.

Here's a look at the inside! You can fill them in however you like!
And this is the new Riley Christmas Set. I made a tag and coloured Riley with copics.
This is the ornament I made to go along with the tag. I used  Riley and Percy Dancing , and just masked out Riley. You have to use stazon ink, and stamp onto acetate. I used 3M transparency film for copiers from Staples. Then he was coloured in with sharpies. I filled the ornament with some glitter snow & finished it off with ribbons.
I made the box for the ornament and added the tag (I know it's a bit big! lol) but wouldn't this make a cute gift!

OK so now onto Jovita's to see what she has to share!

Riley November Sneak Peek Day#2!

Hello, it's Day 2 of the Riley and Company Sneak Peeks! In case you missed the news, there are 6 news images this month which will be clear stamps sold in sets with sentiments included!

For today's card, I used the new Carrying Tree Set. Now this set comes with 3 sentiments, but some how I ended up using a sentiment from the Dog Walking Set!

I coloured Riley with copics and added some glitter. The trees were made with the Quickuz Trees die. I cut 2 trees out and popped them up so the ribbon runs behind them.

RILEY2312, Pocket Card!

Hello, it's time for another Riley and Company Challenge! This weeks challenge is brought to us by Michele, and she's challenging us to create a pocket card, any type you like.

For my pocket card, I used Mixing Bowl Riley. I coloured him with copics to match the dp.

To make my pocket card, I started with a 5.5" x 11" pieced of cardstock. It's scored in half at 5.5" and then I scored one end at 1-1/8" to create the forward flap. Then I rounded the corners with a punch.

Please play along and upload your creation to the Riley and Company Blog. If you upload to any forums, please use the keyword RILEY2312.

Hello, it's time for the Monday Totally Stampalicious Challenge, and this weeks challenge is to make 3 cards using the same image, but change it up a bit! (ok I totally missed the CAS part! LOL)

I used Party Penguins, they're all coloured the same, cut out with the same oval nestie, the same dp, the same cupcake embossing the same ribbon and the same black card base, but I used a different colour with each. One is pumpkin pie, daffodil delight and melon mambo.

Please join us in our challenge and upload your 3 of a kind creations to the Totally Stampalicious Blog! Don't forget, if the winner uses a Totally Stampalicious image, the prize is doubled!

Halloween 2012!

I just wanted to share a photo from Halloween. This is Olivia, dressed as the White Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland, my Niece Lauren is Dorthy from The Wizard of Oz, and her friend Peyton.

Olivia's costume was so easy, white jeans, and a white shirt with a mens vest. She had the headband ears and the bow I got in the $ store in the hair accessories area.

I made the pocket watch with a bit of cardstock, embossing powder, crystal effects and a chain in the discount department at Michaels!
I got the clock face image online and printed it on cardstock. The front and back were cut with the circle nesties from grey cardstock. The back was embossed with the textile embossing folder. I did try to use the Faux Tarnished Silver Technique, but I didn't have the UTEE so it didn't work out as well. After it was all together, I covered the front with crystal effects. If I did it again, I think I would emboss the front with clear EP.
Anyway it was a fun and easy inexpensive prop!

Have a Great Day!
Laurie
