MMTPT148, Sync or Swim!

Hello, I made this for this weeks Teapot Tuesday challenge MMTPT148! This week we were to bring 2 or more of the exact same thing something!

This wonderful image was provided to us by fellow teapotter Leigh from Happileigh Scrappin!

I have 3 swimmers dressed the same with the same teacups and 3 purple flower gems on the caps!

The image was coloured with copics, and I added melon copic atyou spica to the teacups, glitter in the water and the little flower gems.

The image was cut out with the mega rectangle nesties and matted on a scallop rectangle.

The card base is elegant eggplant, with a layer of cosmo cricket dp. The panel going across was made using a mask that I cut wavey, then I sponged in soft sky and marina mist. I finished this piece off by tracing along the waves with a glue marker and adding glitter.

The sentiment is from a Mark's Finest Papers set called Floral Tea. It`s punched out with a MS tag punch.

Have a Great Day!

RILEY1111, Party Treat!

Hello, I made this for this weeks Riley and Company Challenge. This weeks challenge is Hosted by Cindy, and she's challenged us to make a Party themed card or project for a child!

Well it wouldn't be a paper without a treat right!

Ring Master Riley is part of the new Circus Rileys just released, you can find them all here!

I coloured Riley with copics, and added stickles to his bow tie and hat band, & a tiny black gem for a button on his jacket!

The box was made using the Cricut Tags, Bags, boxes & more cartridge, this is the popcorn box cut at 6". I actually made 2 boxes, a red and white box. The I cut the white box into strips & glues every other one in place on the red box.

Everyone is welcome to join in the challenge, just upload your creation to the Riley and Company Blog! Please use the keyword RILEY1111, when uploading to forums.

TSMONDAY, 3-D Challenge!

Hello, this is for this weeks Totally Stampalicious Monday challenge! This week we're challenging you to make a 3-D project!

This is the recently released Daisy Scarlette! I coloured her with copics.

The bag was made with sei-chick-a-dee paper, and my cricut. I used the Plantin Schoolbook for the giftbag, cut at 6".

I just got in the sizzix flower daisies #2 die, so I figured that with be perfect for Daisy Scarlette!

I seem to have lost or hopefully only misplaced my sizzix leaf die, so after spending way too much time tlooking for it, I resorted to the cricut. The leaves were made with the Storybook cartridge this is the branch cut at 2.25".

The image is popped up on dimensionals and I finished it off with some black twine and one of the many sentiments that come with this set!

Join in and play along, there is a Totally Stampalicious Gift Certificate up for grans this week to one random player. All you have to do is upload your 3-D creation to the Totally Stampalicious Blog. And the Guest Designers are chosen from the people who paricipate in the challenges!

Catch the Bug Challenge, Grads Dads & other Celebrations!

You can Find the Riley & Company Blog Hop Here!
Hello, I coming to to the Bugaboo Challenge late, this is for the Grads, Dads & Other Celebrations. I used the digi image that was free last Friday, AKV Golf-golf bag!

We had to replace our printer last week, and the ink on this new one runs when I use copics...it's driving me crazy! So if his face looks a little dirty, that's why!

I used the Cricut Plantin Schoolbook cartridge and cut this bag at 10" and the white circle at 3-3/4". Then I embossed the circle with the tiny bubbles EF, using the reverse side so it looks like a golf ball! I thought this would make a great little bag to put some golfing tees in!

The image was cut out using the petite oval nesties. The sentiment is from the Riley and Company Everyday Sayings set.

I coloured Riley with copics, and cut him out with the heart nesties.

The flame border was made with the MS grass edge punch, there's a layer of riding hood red, pumpkin pie and daffodil delight! Another awesome double duty tool!

Riley Peek Day #3, Hula Hoops Riley!

Hello again, it's day 3 of the Riley and Company sneak peeks, and today I'm showing you the new Hula Hoops Riley, and a look at where my crazy mind goes somethimes! lol

Riley was coloured with copics and cut out with the octagon nesties.

The hula hoops kinda reminded me of elastics, and so I've made a little gift box for them. I love it when stamps have more than one use, and I think this works pretty well!

I've just recently started playing with me Cricut, so today's project was made using the Cricut Tags, bags, boxes & more cartridge. This is the crayon box, with a window cut at 8". The box measures aprox. 5.5" x 4-3/8" x .5". Rather than put the flap inside, I covered it with a scrap of dp and used some hardware to hold it closed.

I've also used a sentiment from the new Circus words set and the separate Hula Hoop is from the new circus accessories set, yep Riley even has his own accessories now!

Make sure to join in the Blog Hop & Release fun, on Thurday May 26th, 10 pm est, as usual it will start at the Riley and Company Blog!

TSMONDAY, Favorites!

Hello, this weeks Totally Stampalicious challenge is to use your favorite Bugaboo Image! How the heck are you supposed to pick from so many great images! Each release I have a new favorite, so for this weeks challenge I'm using the new WTF Gus just released last week!

I stamped Gus 2 times and coloured him with copics. For the second image, I cut out the pile of tires & popped it up. The counter is paper pieced with dp and I added crystal effects to his glasses.

The card base is black. The next layer is real red, embossed with the clockworks EF and the edges are sponged with going grey.

The calendar is a stamp from clear dollar stamps, I used the spiral punch on the edge and then scrunched it up and sponged on some Tim Holtz antique linen!

And this sentiment is one of several in the set!

Please join us in our challenge, and upload your creation to the Totally Stampalicious Blog!

Have a Great Day,
Laurie

Riley Peek Day #2 - Stilts Riley!

Hello all, it's Day 2 of the Riley and Company sneak peeks, and today I'm showing you the new Stilts Riley!

I used the Center Step Fold design for my card today. I followed the Tutorial made by our very own super talented Frances! Since I wanted my card to fit in a regular A2 envelope, I cut my base piece at 11" x 4.25" and scored in 1" on each side leaving the center panel 2.25" wide, perfect for Stilts Riley!

I coloured Riley with copics and added a tiny gem to his flower & button.

The card base is lavendar lace and all the dp is from the Echo Park pad-summer days!

The sentiment is from the new Circus Words set, I popped it up added some gems, and finished it off with some ribbon!

Make sure to join in the Blog Hop & Release fun, on Thurday May 26th, 10 pm est, as usual it will start at the Riley and Company Blog!

Life Is A Circus-Riley Sneak Peek!

Hello Everyone, well today is the first day of Riley and Company Sneak Peeks, and you are going to love this release!

Today I'm showing you the New Carousel Riley, what a fun image!

I coloured the image with copics, added glitter to the horses mane and tail, and gold copic atyou spica to the pole.

The background with the lace trim is actually part of the dp from the DCWV sweet stack. The lace reminded me of the Nellie Snellen die, so I used that to mat the image.

This is a covered note pad. These pads come in a stack at the $ store, they measure 4" x 5.5". To make the cover.

I started with a piece of cardstock 5.75" x 8.5"
Then score at 4- 1/8" and 4-3/8"

Then I just used double sided tape to attach the pad inside!

Make sure to check out the other Design Team members Blogs to see what they've created. You can find all the links on the side bar. The Peeks start today and will continue until Thursday May 26th, when we will have the biggest Blog Hop ever now that our Team has grown!

MMTPT146, Relax and Feel Better Soon!

Hello, I made this card for 2 challenges! This weeks Teapot Tuesday Challenge MMTPT146, we were to bring something you would find at a beach!

This weeks Destination Station to Anthony, a 17 yr old who was in a terrible accident that left with with severe injuries, and a long road to recovery!

I also used this weeks MOJO Monday sketch MOJO191.

I used Hammock Riley for my card today. He's coloured in with copics and then I masked him off and sponged some blue in the background. The edges of this panel were distressed.

My starting off point for colours was the plaid dp from DCWV's animal crackers. I'm hoping that is masculine enough for a teenage boy, and I also included drywall tape & sandpaper for a more manly touch!

I don't always think to do the inside, but I really wanted to get the wave punch in there somewhere! The top of the waves were sponged then I cut a couple strips of sandpaper, tore the tops and added them!

The sentiment is from Everyday Saying!

Have a Great Day!

As you can see, I also used Basketball Riley. He's coloured with copics, and I used a ruler & fine tip marker to draw in the floor.

The sentiment is from the Everyday Sayings set. I separated the words and punched them out with the word window. The sentiment and image are popped up!
This is the back, I drew in the lines with a black sharpie before I embossed it.

MMTPT145, Time to Garden!

Hello, this is my card for this weeks Teapot Tuesday Challenge MMTPT145! This week we are to bring gardening items. Now I know we're supposed to come in the back door if we bring a rabbit, but as you can see, this cute little bunny has read 'Living in Harmony', and he's concentrating on growing the biggest & best carrots ever!

The stamp is Reading Flopsey from My Favorite Things. I stamped the image 2 times, coloured it with copics and cut out. I popped up the second set of books.

The designer paper is cosmo crickets garden variety.

To create the scene, I added some strips of grass made with the MS edge punch. The carrots are half of a leart punch, with ines drawn on with matching marker and edges sponged. The tops were made with the MS fern punch.

This weeks Destination Station is Debbie, she recently had surgery and needs some cheering up. Debbie loves gardening, so hopefully she'll like this!

TSMONDAY, Bring On The Bugs!

Happy Monday Everyone! This weeks Totally Stampalicious Challenge is to include a bug on your card or project!

For my card today, I used the new Bugaboo image Deacon Bugs, now available in stamp form at Totally Stampalicious! He's such a cute little guy, and he just happens to like bugs!

I'm always attracted to cards I see with circles, I never think to use them, so I made a point of giving it a try with this dp I had in my stash, that was perfect for this challenge! I got the dp at a local scrapbooking store, it's called the ants go marching by piggy tales!

I stamped Deacon and coloured him with copics. Then the rest was pretty easy. I used a couple different sizes of circle punches for the dp and backing.

The card base is black, with a piece of daffodil delight that I had in my stash that already had the edge punched. Then I stamped it with the canvas background stamp in matching ink.

Some of the circles are popped up and I finished it off with some ribbon!

I'm also entering this in the Bugaboo Catch the Bug challenge, Anything Goes!

Join us in our challenge by creating something with a bug and upload your creation to the Totally Stampalicious Blog! You may win a prize, and all Totally Stampalicious Guest Designers are chosen from the challenge participants!

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day everyone! Hope you all have a great Day!

This is the card I made for my Mom, who is the Greatest! My Mom is always there for us, through thick & thin, and while I have tons of great memories, there is one that I am often reminded of and always warms my heart!

Back in 94/95 I had some surgery due to Crohns Disease that didn't go so well, many complications. I was in a hospital out of town, my Daughter was only 1 1/2 yrs old and I had been there for weeks-2 months total!

I usually only had visitors on the weekend, but I was looking forward to the following day because my Mom was coming to visit. She called to let me know she couldn't make it because her ride fell through, I think my X (who was not my X at the time) was supposed to bring her, I'm kinda fuzzy on the details.

So the next day I was kinda feeling down, when who poked her head around the corner, but my Mom! I was Sooo happy to see her, and to this day I can still see her smiling face peeking around the door opening! She had taken the out of town bus just to see me, it was a great day!

So cheers to all Mom's, I hope you have a lovely day with the people you love!

I made this card using this Tutorial by Valita!

I used the Clyde digi to make today's card. Clyde was coloured with copics. Because his arms are behind his back, I tried to make it look like he's holding a bouquet of flowers.

The card base is daffodil delight, and then dp from cosmo crickets delovely. I wish I had chosen something different, because I wish the leaves didn't blend into the background!

The leaves were made with the 2 step bird punch. The flowers are melon mambo & baja breeze, with yellow brads in the centers.

Clyde was cut out and popped out, and I finished it off with some twine & a sentiment tag!

MMTPT144, Flowers for Charlotte!

Hello, as usual I'm late, this is my card for this weeks Teapot Tuesday Challenge MMTPT144! The challenge was to bring some sort of house, cabin, dwelling etc. but there was also an option of bringing flowers, so that's what I brought this week!

The Destination Station is to Charlotte, she loves handmade cards! Charlotte is in her final stages of cancer, so she could use some happy mail!

Almost everything on this card is from Stampin Up! The focal image is from Elements of Style and I coloured it with copics & added a bit of glitter to some flower centers.

Thecard base is black, with a layer of daffodil delight embossed with the square lattice EF. The edges of the image and the black piece were distressed.

The sentiment is from the Silhouette Sentiments set, and the Tiny Tags set. I punched it out with the Martha Stewart tag punch.

I finished it off with some black twine, a crystal brad!

RILEY0911, School Theme!

Hello, It's time for this weeks Riley and Company Challenge! This weeks Hostess is Frances and since it is National Teachers Day, Frances is challenging us to make something school related!

For my project today, I covered the front of a little calendar book I bought at the $ store for 2/$1.00!!! Can't beat that! I like to have a calendar book handy on by crafting desk so I can keep track of releases & challenges, so I made this for myself!

Stamping Riley seemed the perfect choice since I was making it to help keep track of my stamping obligations!

Stamping Riley was stamped onto white & coloured with copics. Then I sponged the edges with Tim Holtz antique linen. The image was cut with a cicle nestie & backed with a lacey circle nestie.

I used some office stamps I had to help decorate it, and finished it off with some ribbons!

Please join us in our challenge and create a card or project that is school related! Then make sure to upload it to the Riley & Company Blog! If you upload to a forum, please use the keywords RILEY0911.

Have a Great Day!

TSMONDAY, Kickin' It Old School!

Hi Everyone! It's Monday, that means Totally Stampalicious Challenge time! This week we are challenging you to get out a stamp that hasn't seen ink for at least 6 months or so! There's also a prize for one lucky winner this week, you'll get to choose one of the 4 original Totally Stampalicious sets!

I've used one of the original four Totally Stampalicious sets today, this is Road Hawg! I loved this set as soon as I saw it in the SCS Gallery when it was first released!

OK I went a little out of my element today with colours for a biker, but I decided to use up a piece of paper I had left from using the Ink Spray & Smash technique! The background piece I made was sprayed with the gold shimmer spritz, & I thought it might be cool to use gold on the bike instead of silver!

The card base is black with a layer of baja breeze stamped with a tire track stamp I bought a while back at our local craft store. I stamped it in basic grey and then sponged the edges with the baja breeze.

The Road Hawg was stamped onto white and coloured with copics. Then I coloured over the pipes and handle bars with the gold uni-ball pen. Then because I kept cutting the image panel in the wrong spot!!! I ended up cutting the whole thing out and backing it with black!

The gears were made with the SU punch, and the sentiment is from the Road Hawg set!

So dig out some old stamps and join us in our challenge. There will be a prize drawn this week, and remember all Guest Designers and chosen from those who play in the weekly challenge! Just make sure to upload your creation to the Totally Stampalicious Blog for your chance to win!

Have a Great Day!
