TSMONDAY, Anything But a Card!

Hi Everyone, we made it back safe and sound from our vacation at the beach! Even though the weather wasn't the best, we managed to get out almost every day and we all have the tan to show for it!

Todays Totally Stampalicious challenge is to make anything but a card! I covered a large can, that measures 6" across the opening, with designer paper. I think this would be a great size for travel size baby lotion, wipes, small diaper etc. to leave at Grandma's house as an emergency kit when visiting!

The image is Bently he is a Bugaboo image now available in stamp form from Totally Stampalicious! I stamped him with memento tuxedo black ink and coloured with copics. I used a circle nestie to cut the image out and sponged in clouds. The grass was made with the MS edge punch. The sun is the smallest of the inverted scallop circle nesties, and the center is the 3/4" circle punch.

The sentiment from the same Bently set was stamped and punch with the small tag punch. Then I trimmed the edges down so you can see the blue made with the same small tag punch. I attached it to the bow with a blue safety pin I found at the $ store!

Everyone is welcome to play, so why not join in, you never know, you may win something! Make sure to upload your creation to Mr. Linky on the Totally Stampalicious Blog!

RILEY1610, Create a Scene!

It's time for another Riley and Company challenge RILEY1610. This weeks hostess is Cathy, and she's challenging us to create a scene!

For my card today, I combined 3 stamps. Picnic Riley, Under Tree Riley and the pine tree in the background is from Carrying Tree Riley! To create the scene I first stamped Under the Tree Riley and then to make sure I got the Picnic Riley in a good spot, I used my stamp-a-ma-jig. I also stamped the Picnic Riley onto a scrap of copy paper and cut this out to make a mask & cover the image. Then I masked off the Carrying Tree Riley with post it notes, so only the tree was exposed & I inked it up and stamped it so it looks further away!

I used a thin marker to create the hills is the background, and that really brought it all together.

The images were coloured with copics, and there glitter on the butterfly & cupcake icing as well as crystal effects on the cup and top of the cupcake. The sky was sponged in with soft sky and a scallop circle mask. The grass was sponged in with certainly celery & pear pizzazz.

So why not play along and create a scene. Please use the keyword RILEY1610 when uploading to any forums. Make sure to leve a comment on the Riley & Company Blog with a link to your Scene! Well I'm in shock...2 challenges in a row posted on the day the challenges were posted! say What!

This is for Todays Teapot Tuesday MMTPT107, Gullable Gill Jumped Up The Hill And The Boys Swam Panicking After! I love Cindy's Titles and stories, what an imagination she has!

This is Fishing Riley, from Riley and Company, and I thought he fit the challenge and would be perfect for this weeks Destination Station!

I coloured Riley with copics, and you probably can't see it in the photo, but his fishing pole was made sparkly with a copic atyou spica in lavender.

This is an easel card, the base is elegant eggplant with some daffodil delight and dp from Cosmo Cricket. I used circle and inverted scallop nesties for the image and mats.

For the bottom edge on the inside I used a Fiskars edge punch, and a MS fish punch popped up.

RILEY1510, Oh The Things You Can Stamp With!

Hello, time for another challenge from the Riley and Company Design Team! I am honored to be the hostess this week, and I'm challenging you to make a card using a non-stamp item! Look around your house, I'm sure you'll find something.

A couple ideas, pencils eraser, elastics wrapped around a block and inked up, potato, sponge, netting from onions, childrens blocks, use your imagination!

I used a net bag from onions and another from sweet potatoes to add texture to the sky and sand on my card!

I used the new Seaside Sophie for todays card. I stamped the image onto white, and coloured with copics. The oval was made using a nestie and I sponged in some baja breeze around the edges.
The sentiment is also new from Riley and Company, I popped it up and added some tiny gems.
The card base is baja breeze. I inked up the netting in matching ink, and stamped all over for texture. Then I sponged the edges.
The faux sand is creamy caramel, the top edge punched with an EK punch. I used the other net bag to stamp in texture with matching ink and then sponged the edges.
The crabs were made with an EK punch, in riding hood red, they're popped up too!
I can't wait to see what the other DT Gals came up with, you can find links to all their Blogs on the right side bar under the Riley and Company heading!
So why not ink up those Riley & Company stamps, and play long! You can leave a link to your card on the Riley and Company Blog, and if you upload to SCS or other forums, please use the keyword RILEY1510.
Have a Great Day!

TSMONDAY, Single Layer, oooonooooo!

Hello, it's time for the Totally Stampalicious Monday challenge! This weeks challenge is the dreaded or super easy, depending how you look at it, single layer card with minimal embellishments! I personally find the single layer very difficult. On the other hand, they are quick to make!

For this weeks easy peasy challenge, I used the new Morning Margaret, a Bugaboo image now available at Totally Stampalicious in clear stamp form!

I used white cardstock, and embossed with the Label #1 nestabilitie. Then I stamped Morning Margaret as well as the sentiment below, in memento tuxedo black.

I coloured the image with copics. Then I used my craft knife to cut a slit along the sides to slip the taffeta ribbon into. Easy Peasy!

I hope you can join us in the challenge, please make sure to link your creation up on the Totally Stampalicious Blog with Mr.Linky!

Speedy's Challenge #14 & VSNAUGMINI's

Hello, don't you just love that shimmery Monarch butterfly! I made this for 2 challenges, the Speedy The Cats Friends Challenge #14, at Mark's Finest Papers. The 2nd is the VSNAUGMINI1, Nature in the land that I love, which is Hosted by Markie's Mom aka Faith!

We have Monarches here, and there beautiful bright colour always stands out! I used the butterfly from the Daffodil & Anise set from Mark's Finest Papers. I stamped him on watercolor paper with versamark & embossed with black EP. They I coloured him in with only orange & peach parfait. I then went over that with some paint from the Niji pearlescent watercolour set. I also added white inkessentials to the wings.
The card base is black, with a layer of peach parfait and the dp is Basic Greys Ambrosia.
The sentiment is from the set Ladybugs & Carnations. I finished it off with some sheer ribbon and a stick pin!

I made this card for the VSNAUGMINI2, State Flowers, Hosted by Gingerbeary8, aka CarolH. I also made this to give to our Neighbours, who are celebrating their 46th Anniversary!
The image is from Mark's Finest Papers in a set called Ladybugs & Carnations. I stamped it onto white and coloured with copics. Then I cut it out with a Labels #4 die. It's popped up.
The card base is chocolate chip, with a layer of blushing bride, the tope half is emnbossed with the victoria EF. The bottom is dp from the Basic Grey Porcelain pad.
I can't believe out of all these stamps I have I couldn't find a Happy Anniversary sentiment! So this sentiment is from the SU Baroque Motif set.
I finished it off with ribbon and I glittery brad!
Have a Great Day!
