Riley Sneak Peek Day 4, Window Treat Bag!

Hello, Sorry I'm late today. To be honest I wasn't real happy with my project for today and was hoping to have time to change it but unfortunately I will be posting the original! There really isn't anything wrong with it, I just think the bag I used is too big for the stamp and I was hoping to redo it on a smaller one.

This is the new Window Riley, which will be released tonight at Riley and Company. Make sure to join us for some fun, lots more samples and chances to win prizes! The blog Hop starts tonight, Thursday July 22, 10 pm est.

Please note: the new stamps will be available for purchase at Riley and Company when the Blog Hop starts.

So for todays project, I stamped the Window Riley onto white & coloured with copics. I used a kraft knife to cut around Riley and the window opening.

I cut the white piece to fit on the front, then measured the the window opening, and cut an opening in the white piece measuring 1-1/16" x 1-3/16". I placed this in position of the bag and marked where to cut it. Then I attached a piece of acetate over the opening of the bag.

I finished the white piece by embossing it with the distressed stripes embossing folder. Then it was sponged with Tim Holtz antique linen ink.
I attached Windowbox Riley all around the inside edges, and put dimensionals behind the shutters to pop them up a bit.

To finish it, I folded the bag top down. Then covered with a piece of bermuda bay, with a scallop edge made with an EK punch, and edges sponged. I used the cropodile to make the holes to thread the ribbon thru!

Wouldn't this be cool filled with baked goods! gee I wish I had some baked goods now! lol

Please make sure to come back tonight for the Blog Hop, 10 pm est. I believe you will have until Friday July 23 in the evening to leave a comment on tonights Blog Hop post and still have a chance to win!
Til then, I hope you're having a great day!
Laurie
